EORS AWARDS

1. Edward R. Valstar Award: Awarded for the Best Overall Oral Presentation of the meeting.

2. New Investigators (NI) awards: These awards recognize excellence in the following categories:

  • Biology: Best NI Oral presentation & NI Poster.
  • Biomaterials and Biomechanics: Best NI Oral presentation & NI Poster.
  • Clinical Research: Best NI Oral Presentation & NI Poster.

 

Note: All EORS awardees will receive complimentary registration (fee waived) for the next Annual Meeting.

How to Apply: When submitting your abstract, you must check the box: "Check this box if you want to be considered for an EORS New Investigator Award."

Eligibility: Applicants must be student or PhD candidate at the time of registration.

ON-EORS AWARDS

We are pleased to announce the ON Awards that will be delivered at the EORS 2026:

  • 10 ON/EORS Education Grants (500 EUR)

Application & Deadlines The application process is managed through the ON Foundation website. We encourage all applicants to visit the links above for detailed information, eligibility criteria, and to consult the specific deadlines for each award.

FORTE-EORS AWARDS

Awardees will receive complimentary registration (fee waived) for the FORTE summer school 2027.

  Eligibility:

  • Must be a Clinician
  • Must meet the EORS New Investigator status criteria:

“EORS New Investigators are defined as university students (undergraduate or graduate) or employees of an academic institution in the field of orthopaedic research, who have obtained their doctoral degree (MS, MD, PhD, DVM) or orthopaedic residency within the past 5 years.”

  • Must have submitted an abstract on CLINICAL RESEARCH and have it accepted for an oral
  • presentation at EORS 2026
  • Must be proficient in English
  • Must attend the conference in person
  • Must fill all information in the form and attach the submitted abstract

AESCULAP-EORS AWARDS

Category 1: Translational Research towards Clinical Applications & Digital Surgery (3,000 EUR in total):
Best Scoring Abstract: 1,500 EUR
Second Scoring Abstract: 1,000 EUR
Third Scoring Abstract: 500 EUR

Category 2: Implant-related Research in Biomechanics & Biomaterials (3,000 EUR in total):
Best Scoring Abstract: 1,500 EUR
Second Scoring Abstract: 1,000 EUR
Third Scoring Abstract: 500 EUR

Eligibility:

  • Must fit one of the two awards categories
    Must have submitted an abstract and have it accepted for an oral presentation at EORS 2026
  • Must be proficient in English
    Must attend the conference in person
  • Must fill all information in the form and attach the submitted abstract.
